SEEKING EXPERIENCED NANNY FOR 8 MONTH OLD IN CAPITOL HILL

Full-Time, Live-Out Nanny

Our family is seeking a full-time (45 hr/week) nanny to care for an 8 month old baby in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of DC.  We are looking for someone who is interested in a long-term post with a caring family.  This position will include overtime pay, paid sick leave, three weeks of paid vacation, and 6 additional major holidays.

About Us

Our family is loving, happy, organized, and excited about finding someone amazing to care for our son, Milo.  Dad works as a civil rights attorney at USDA, and Mamma works on an engineering team at Google.  Baby Milo currently spends his time climbing couch cushion mountains, determinedly trying to master the use of the sippy cup, and puzzling over his parents inability to understand his pointed exclamations and babbling.  Our house is just a block off H street near Lincoln park, three libraries, two pools and all the Capitol Hill kids related activities.  You'll have plenty of opportunities to meet other nannies in our neighborhood-- our block has at least five families with kids under two.  We believe in keeping our nanny happy and healthy, and you'll love working for us.

Duties

Our ideal nanny will enjoy engaging our son in creative activities, setting up playdates with other nannies, going for walks, reading, singing, and playing games.  We're looking for someone with a passion for books/art/science/making and doing who can help Milo develop as an independent person and foster a sense of curiosity about the world.  This position will include baby-related, light housekeeping.  Help preparing dinners would be ideal - we hope you like to cook!  We have a cat, so feline allergy sufferers should probably seek employment elsewhere.
